Echeveria florets are living plants that will grow a root system when above or near water.

Prevent lower leaf damage by not allowing plants to sit IN water.

You can remove damaged leaves by gently pulling away from the stalk. 

Keep water in the container but at a low level.

Periodically remove the echeveria florets from the container they are in to clean the container and rock material with dish soap.
